Oh, how typical, huh? Well.. if "typical" even exists anymore. We'll see, oh yes we will. The crunch of gravel under his Vanns was the only thing heard, unless he stopped, then it was the slow inhale and exhale of his breath. With each exhale, his warm breath would mix with the cold night air and it was quite noticeable. The part was quite, still and he was the only thing moving. Nestled in his jacket pocket was his ciggs and navy blue lighter.. and a mobile phone of course. Technology, to him and his friends, tasted absolutely great... him and his friends each have stuck his cell phone into their mouths. Oh, yes. It tasted lovely. Eck. But now his friends were back home and his cell phone had no "stuff-into-mouth" sessions, all except for Devon. Oh, god he missed them boys. And most of all Joshky. That boy was absolutely odd in the best ways. The even mere thought of him made Devon laugh. He seemed more like a "make-out buddy" rather than a best friend. But a best friend he was. And only a friend.
Finally reaching the swings, he perched himself on the flimsy plastic and looked around. Seeing no one, he reached into his pocket and pulled out ciggs and the little navy blue lighter. When he had lit the cigg, he put his lighter away and put his lips to the end of the cigg. Inhale. Ahh. Relief. He knew it existed, huh? Lightly, he began to swing back and forth, only for relaxation and not a total "ride". Every now and then, he'd put the cigarette to his lips and rape it. The moon lightened his sights and the stars made a lovely sky above him. Silently, he hoped that someone, preferably some one "famazing", would come along and befriend him. Ya know.. loneliness isn't the best thing ever.

"Where are you going?" And there it was, damn, she couldn't even get out of the house without someone noticing her - not that she really was one for sneaking out at night, she just needed a break, y'know; a nice walk outside away from her Mother. That woman really didn't know when to quit. She sighed, meeting the knowing gaze of her younger brother, Renji, his identical twin wasn't in sight.
"Out, and you can't come," she smirked, knowing all too well that there was no way in Hell Renji would want to go anywhere with her. "Mum going on about that issue again?" He always knew, heck, he was the one she talked to - when Kiore wasn't available - about everything. And that included their Mother.
"Hn," she nodded her head once, and reached her hand out to mess up his hair - Renji, naturally, rolled his eyes and stalked back off to his bedroom. Shaking her head with a light smile, she turned around and opened the front door, hands stuffed in the pockets of her jeans.
It was only a matter of time, really, before her cell phone rang - just as she had reached Naerang Park, too. Flipping it open, she smirked; caller ID read Kio-chan. Of course, Akiko was always in the mood to talk to her Kio-chan, heck, they are best friends, have been since kindergarten.
"Hey, Kio!" She said brightly, tone denying her not-so-bright mood - somehow, the 'act' managed to work, and that was rare, Kiore was the closest person to her, after all. "Kiko-chan!" If they were in person, Kiore would have no doubt tackled her by now, they hadn't seen each other in a whole week. Chuckling lightly, Akiko continued to walk - listening to her, as she talked about everything.
"Ne, what are you doing, Kiko-chan?" She'd be pouting, now, that innocent look that shouted to the world she was thinking. Cute, really, it was. "I'm walking, in the park," she answered. "Kiko-chan! The park? At this time of night?" Shit. She'd forgotten Kiore's tendency to worry too much.
"Kio, Kio, Kio ... you do remember what I just won?" The rambling on the other line instantly stopped, followed by sheepish laughter. "Oh ... yeah. Heh, of course!" Shaking her head she smiled. "Ne, Kiko-chan, I'm sorry - I have to go - Dad needs help with the computer - no Daddy, don't touch that button - shit; so I'll see you tomorrow at school. Night, night, hun!"
"Night, Kio-chan," she hung up, putting the phone back in her pocket, she stopped walking. Through the conversation she had made it through to the middle of the park, where the play ground was, just in front of the swing set - which another person, a male, sat on, smoking a cigarette. Ah, well, may as well freeze my ass off, nothing better to do, she thought, smiling as she sat down on the swing next to him.
"Nice night to be out..." she smirked, trailing off - in all truth it wasn't that cold, there wasn't any noise, peaceful - almost.

He had heard her before he seen her, but when she spoke, directing to him, he winced alittle in abit of surprise. He turned his head and looked over at the girl. Grinning, he nodded and yawned, raping the end of his cigg before lowering it. Letting the smoke linger in his lungs for a few seconds, he exhaled smoothly, letting the dark, lewd oxygen escape from his nostrils and mouth. And after that, sucking in raw oxygen, he cleared his throat as if he hadn't used his voice box in awhile. "Yeah, it is. I like nights like these.. they don't argue with you." He said with a small chuckle, indicating that things at home were rarely serene.. Anyway, raping the cigg again as if it were going to shrivel up into nothing pretty damn soon, he repeated the action. Exhaling, inhaling, breathing again. Sure, he knew that it was just a cancer stick, but hey, it let him have abit of relief. He looked over at the girl and smiled abit. "I'm Devon." Pleh. He seemed so.. sad. He wasn't. Rather, he was feeling shy. Maybe it was just the fact that the girl before him was quite attra-... hmm... Gar.... He didn't expect a reply, if she could give one anyway, but he didn't expect her to stick around to get to know him either. She'd attack first impressions right away, stand and leave.. just like everyone else did. Sure, he smoked, but guess what? It didn't mean he was a "sit-on-my-ass-and-get-high" all the time kind of guy. He only smoked when his mother left them lying around and when he seemed down. Unfortunately, he was alittle down due to the fact he moved from his friends. And Joshky. God, he missed that kid like crazy. Inhaling the toxins and finishing the cigg, he dropped it on the ground and smothered it into the ground with his left foot. Lifting his head again, he shook it, shaking the hair out of his eyes. Maybe he needed pink clippies...

Smirking, she listened, nodding her head in agreement as she glanced to her side at him. "It gets like that," she sighed, looking up at the sky - actually looking at it for the first time in a while, she'd been busy lately, not having time for near anything; and the skies at the place where the tournament was held, well, smoke clouds and bright lights had something to do with the lack of it.
Catching the scent of smoke, she didn't react, having been use to it - her Father smoked, and she was sure Keigo was going to start soon, though she figured their Mother would stop him, heck, their Dad wasn't even suppose to smoke, but she couldn't control everything. Akiko, herself, had tried smoking a few times - she didn't dislike it, she didn't like it; she would have one every now and then, compliments of her Dad's stock (hidden in the garden shed), but they weren't a necessity.
Devon, ne? He doesn't seem like one of those creeps, may as well be friendly. "Akiko; Kiko, if you want," she replied. "New to town?" Salvation wasn't big, but then it wasn't small either - one high school and one elementary school; and Akiko and Kiore knew basically everyone at their high school, and the boy only seemed to be about her age. Though, he might have dropped out.
[o.o.c] Yay! The pink clippies!!^^ -squeals-

Akiko. Kiko. He smiled at her and faced foreword on the flimsy plastic and began to gently swing back and forth. "Nice to meet you, Kiko." He said in a gentleman kind of way, testing her name on his tongue. "Does it mean anything? It's not everyday that you hear a unique name like that.." His words seem to get lost and trail off abit into silence. Only the high squeaking of the chain-on-metal sound was heard with the plastic-on-chain sound and the soft rustle of trees being teased with the chilly wind.
As if growing bored of swinging, he put his feet down and allowed them to drag him to a complete stop. Only then, did he feel a hyper-spurt. Oh, boy, was it hard to stop one when it came. He began to play with his lip rings, and twirl in his seat, making the chain twist and untwist. Realizing that he might of been quite fidgety, he stopped and placed his hands on his lap and faced the girl.. the moon on her face.. gah... Snapping out of it, he cast his eyes to the ground realizing that he might have been staring. Oh, my gosh. Would you just hold still? She's p'rolly thinking that your odd in the worst ways. Blahhhhh. Hahaha. Er... He thought to himself quite alot. After all, that was all he really had talk to. His mother wouldn't care, and his step dad was at work most of the time. His eldest brothers and sister were moved out and gone, and his younger sister wouldn't even want to listen to him ramble on. Perhaps she did think he was odd in the worst ways?
[.ooc.] oh, yes. those snexy clippies. heh. *beams*

Somewhere along her trail of thoughts, Akiko had trailed off, coming back to reality when his words drifted into her mind. "My name?" She paused, blinking. "I don't think so. Heh, my family all have unique names, I suppose," she smiled, she'd never really thought about her name - or any, for that matter. Her family and Kiore's all had unique names - well, not ones that you would hear in Australia. Perhaps, Japan, but not Australia.
Smirking - Akiko's type of smile, she wasn't as bright and happy as Kiore - she didn't pay much attention to Devon's actions, having been use to Kiore's restlessness - she always was active, having to keep up conversation, or be doing something, or even just thinking. As long as she was doing something. Keigo always teased her about being hyper. Kiore did the honors of repaying his comments with a nice, hard hit to the head.
Grasping the chains on either side of the swing she sat on, she looked down at her feet, scuffed in the sand, drawing circles continuously. At a loss of what to say - something not so new for Akiko, she wasn't that talkative, sometimes just preferring the company of another and not talking at all, other times it was different.
Glancing at him from the corner of her eye, once again, she smiled lightly, just catching his gaze before he turned away. Cute.
[o.o.c] -shudders- -glares at her post- Ne. Forgive me, I was getting off so I had to finish it quickly. -nods- -grins-
